Frame: Hand-cut and welded steel shadowbox style frame
Cathedral is a macro photograph of rust and peeling paint from a sun-worn 1950s automobile. Josh captured the image on one of our road trips, drawn to the textures created by time and exposure. The frame was cut and welded by hand in his studio, giving it a strong, industrial edge. The colors reminded us of stained glass, which is how the piece got its name. It’s one of the last works he completed.
